Carlyn Ray Designs is Hiring a Sales Professional Near Dallas, TX

Job Overview:
We’re seeking a coachable sales professional who has a passion for art and design to join our sales team for commissioned, site specific glass art by artist, Carlyn Ray.

The Sales Professional contributes to Carlyn Ray Designs’ mission by selling existing and semi-custom product lines to designers, architects, and individual customers. From following up on potential leads to nurturing prospective customer relationships and closing deals, the Sales Professional plays an integral role in the success of the organization. They are able to understand size, color, scale and proportion to assist clients with recommendations to suit their unique space. They are able to provide visual examples of potential solutions through samples, sketches, renderings, and photos, and present a cohesive design package to clients.

Duties:

  • Being the primary client interface from initial point of contact through contract and delivery for assigned projects
  • Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
  • Working with artists to recommend solutions based on budget, space, or other client limitations
  • Communicate design concepts with the assistance of artists through sketches, slide decks, renderings and photos
  • Scheduling and leading studio visits/gallery tours
  • Completing on-site visits with clients and designers as part of pursuing/winning work
  • Working with color samples to help clients envision final outcomes
  • Scheduling and attending in progress check in’s with clients
  • Scheduling and being available on installation day for assigned projects as part of client relationship
  • Attending occasional evening weekday/weeknight events where current or potential clients are attending
  • Hitting minimum monthly & annual sales goals
  • Maintaining design center samples, displays, and sales materials (print materials, sample boxes, catalog, etc.)
  • Managing gallery inventory and appearance with assistance from gallery attendants
  • Becoming knowledgeable about glass art to better guide your clients
  • Working with Management Team to effectively present pricing options to clients
  • Preparing draft sales purchase agreements (contracts)
  • Meeting with sales team twice a week to assign and review status’ of leads
  • Meeting with art production team to facilitate communication of project status and follow up tasks
  • Turn over projects to art production and successfully completing sales portions of work orders and presenting at weekly handover meetings
  • Assistance with Social Media Content
  • Gallery Sales & Management
  • Set regular gallery studio hours and meet with walk-in customers
  • Follow up with assigned custom requests
  • Price, sell and account for items in gallery
  • Convey items needed to fill gallery to Head of Art Production

Requirements & Skills:
Proven work experience as a Sales Professional with 4 or more years of sales experience & maintaining client relationships

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with CRM practices & tools such as Monday.com, Salesforce, etc.
  • Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent selling, negotiation
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field
  • Design industry experience is an advantage (ability to read floor and ceiling plans)
  • Photoshop, Canva or other visual design tool is preferred
  • Knowledge of navigating and successful use of social media platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, & Facebook
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Must be able to analyze problems & develop solutions
  • Available for local travel required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs, willing to use a ladder for in home/business site visits, and have reliable transportation (mileage paid)
  • Education: Bachelor's (Required)
  • License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
