CareSTL Health is seeking a full-time, talented, outgoing, and competent Dental Assistant I to support the clinical treatment care of our patients.

Essential Functions:

• Receive patient, update medical history, and verify dental Check receipt for copayment accuracy and make a follow-up appointment along with giving patient his/her co-pay information for next visit.

• Insurance verifiers will verify patient insurance coverage 5 days prior to the appointment and give verification papers to the dentist, and chair-side assistant to assist in the correct collection of funds for each 24-hour appointment Confirmation will be accomplished daily.

• Prepare the patient for services to be rendered by the Dentist by having neck napkin, instruments, and diagnostic x-rays in Also have any pertinent consent forms signed, and blood pressure/pulse taken, prior to the dentist entering the room and within 10 minutes of the patient being checked into eCW.

• Assist dentist in proper charting using Treatment plan any major treatment to insurance carriers for prior authorization. Chairside assistance using four-banded dentistry.

• Maintenance of suction lines, instrument bend, ultrasonic, and sterilizer (requires good record keeping). Keep the work area clean in accordance with OSHA guidelines.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of an ADA-certified Dental Assisting Program or leading to certificate required

Experience:

• 1-2 yrs experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact required.

• Must possess excellent customer service skills
• Good oral and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational and self-motivational skills
• Sterilization process of Instruments
• Good record-keeping abilities
