Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic medical diagnostic center in Miami Lakes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable for separate entities and vendors while ensuring accuracy and adherence to departmental procedures. This is a contract-to-hire position with opportunities for growth within our organization.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
• Ensure bills are paid accurately and in a timely manner.
• Analyze invoice/expense reports and record entries to appropriate accounts and cost centers.
• Verify vendor accounts, pay vendors, and resolve purchase order, invoice, or payment discrepancies.
• Review invoices for accuracy and completeness, obtaining necessary approvals and supporting documents as needed.
• Match invoices with applicable supporting documents such as purchase orders.
• Reconcile monthly vendor and credit card statements.
• Maintain daily cash flow schedule.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Pay vendors by verifying federal ID numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
• Ensure credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Support supervisory and executive staff by performing assigned accounting and clerical tasks.

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or at least 7 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping/accounting processes or equivalent training.
• Experience working with a high volume of accounts payable.
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Accounting Systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and time management.
