STS Packaging, a Schwarz Partners, L.P. Joint Venture company is currently seeking a Corporate Controller in Mooresville, IN. The Corporate Controller is responsible for the daily financial operations of the company, across all sites. Plans, directs, and coordinates all accounting operations functions. Oversees Accounting/Finance and interacts with Operations and Sales. Manages all accounting functions, records and is responsible for the production of all financial reports. Oversees and supervises accounting staff. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION: Oversees all company accounting activities including the preparation, consolidation, and review of monthly financial statements. Oversee all cash responsibilities including cash flow forecasting, daily banking relationships, lease financing arrangements and cash reconciliations. Inventory reconciliation and development/maintenance of raw material, labor, and overhead standard costs. Manage payroll and compensation/benefit processing and reporting. Margin analysis by customer and category. Preparation of the year-end closing process in accordance with corporate policies. Preparation of annual financial statements and lead contact with third party auditors. Manage fixed asset system. Take the lead role in the preparation, analysis, and presentation of the annual budget. Critical team member for ERP system implementation. Skilled in navigating a start-up including system implementation and building an accounting team. Development of financial and operational reports. Experience with corporate acquisitions. This position will require traveling to other STS locations in performing the above duties and for the evaluation of potential acquisitions; this would be an approximate 15-20% component. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. 7-10 years of accounting experience in manufacturing environment. Staff supervisory experience. PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: CPA. REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Math skills sufficient to be able to understand and quickly extrapolate a variety of interpretations of financial data. Must be able to quickly analyze data. Problem solving is critical; must be able to review issues to identify root causes and come up with solutions to unique and sometimes complex issues that will comply with a variety of requirements from legal authorities and corporate directions. Must be able to read and understand instruction and policies from Corporate. Needs to be familiar with language used by federal and state agencies in tax requirements and employment requirements. Must be able to effectively communicate with employees of all levels in the organization to explain policies and procedures (both verbally and in writing). Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write correspondence, memo, work instructions and short papers. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees of the organization. Ability to use computer including a proficiency in Microsoft Office. Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data. Highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets. Experience in MS Great Plains and Dynamics 365. Perfectionist by nature, with no tolerance for financial sloppiness. Very good verbal skills. Excellent work habits including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures. Experience with large foodservice customers preferred. Ability to analyze sourcing data, benefits, and other reports and make recommendations. Regular and predictable attendance.
