The experienced Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for timely entry, coding and check processing for Shoppa's weekly accounts payable check run. Must have a proven track record in the area of AP with attention to details. Will use discretion and independent judgment while following company rules and guidelines for weekly AP approvals and completions. This opportunity represents Shoppas Mid America and requires professionalism, great attitude, good communication skills and outstanding customer service.Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):Process incoming accounts payable invoicesMatch invoices to purchase ordersCode/review general ledger account number coding for invoicesGet proper approval for invoices without purchase ordersEnter invoices for sales and use tax accuracyTrack Monthly sales and use tax accrualReport amount to sales tax departmentRespond to and resolve vendor questionsRespond to and resolve internal customer questionsReconcile vendor statements and resolve past due and or disputed itemsPrepare accounts payable checks for mailingFile paper remittance detail and related supporting documents in a timely mannerBack-up other positionsOther duties as assignedRequirements (include, but not limited to):5 years of prior Accounts Payable experienceCustomer service mentalityExcellent attention to detailStrong verbal and written communicationFamiliarity with general accounting concepts related to accounts payable, accrued liabilities, prepaids, and fixed assetsStrong technology skills including expertise in MS ExcelAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize and manage time efficientlyGood problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysisExperience working with Navision or SoftBase is preferredCollaborative and accessible team memberHigh School diploma or equivalent#J-18808-Ljbffr
