• Responsible for managing aspects of the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries, and maintenance reconciliations.
• Manage monthly and quarterly accruals, including clinical trial accruals.
• Review new and amended contracts to determine appropriate accounting treatment and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders regarding costs and activities incurred.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee Accounts Payable function, ensuring all transactions and cash disbursements are consistent with our accounting policies and procedures. Identify and implement process improvements for the procure-to-pay workflow.
• Assist with the processing of payroll on a semi-monthly basis.
• Assist with the development and management of a monthly budget vs actual reporting.
• Assist with FP&A and forecast adjustments.
• Manage the processing of local, state, and federal registrations and filings.
• Correspond with external auditors regarding quarterly review and annual audit testing procedures.
• Design, document, and maintain effective internal controls over the accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Proficient in overseeing and leading the execution and planning of both direct and dotted-line reports as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Generally met with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least 4 years experience in accounting and finance in a biotech/pharmaceutical company.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel including lookup functions and pivot tables.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• A high attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Ability to work with different stake holders across and outside the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or CPA is highly desired.
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Coupa experience is beneficial.

• Salary range is $120,000 - $150,000/year depending on experience
