This role will work closely with the CFO and take ownership of financial reporting, month end close and internal processes. This successful start up provides an exciting opportunity to make a mark on the accounting department and provide ongoing value in line with business growth.Job DescriptionRequirements for the role of Accounting Manager;Drive the month end close process by managing to the closing calendar and closing deliverables.Own all aspects of the financial accounts and financial statements.Establish and maintain formal accounting policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with GAAP and proper controls.Key contributor to technical accounting activities, including timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, appropriate research and resolution, and documentation.Prepare journal entries, monthly reconciliations, accruals and other relevant accounting tasks.Handle all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.Manage and process semi-monthly payroll.Assist with the preparation of business information and income tax returns.QualificationsResponsibilities for the role of Accounting Manager;3-5 years of progressive experience in an Accounting Manager. Or a Senior Accountant ready to make the next step.Strong technical expertise and knowledge of GAAP.Experience in revenue recognition.Strong self starter who enjoys working in a smaller/start up environment.Prior experience working in a start up environment.Experience of an ERP implementation.
