Duties:

1. Review journal entries accruals, reserves and various balance sheet account reconciliations
2. Review lease accounting and draft memos
3. Management of the month end close process for assigned real estate properties
4. Review and approve monthly financial statements and flux analysis for assigned properties
5. Prepare audit scheduled and answer inquiries from the auditor and Senior Management
6. Review and monitor the work within the accounting team
7. Ensure monthly and quarterly closes are completed timely in accordance with accounting procedures in support of corporate, SOX and audit reporting requirements
8. Review and update various accounting processes in support of SOX controls
9. Manage staff including hiring, motivating, performance management, training and development
10. Participate in the development of policies and procedures
11. Assist in ad hoc projects
12. Assist in supervising 8-9 Project Accountants

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA license required
• 6 years progressive accounting experience, 2 years’ experience supervising and managing employees
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
• Real Estate experience preferred
• MRI accounting software preferred
• Public company experience preferred
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word
• Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
