Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team. As a Dentist, you will provide comprehensive dental care to patients, diagnose and treat dental conditions, and promote oral health. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic dental office and make a positive impact on the lives of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, including oral examinations, medical history reviews, and dental x-rays.
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop treatment plans.
- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and other dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental software systems such as Softdent.
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique in all procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid District of Columbia dental license in good standing.
- Proven experience as a Dentist, preferably in a dental office setting.
- Proficient in medical terminology, dental coding, and anatomy knowledge.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Softdent is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively educate and communicate with patients.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
