Associate General Counsel, Product Messenger Responsibilities:

• Review global products, features, platforms and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
• Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice across many subject areas including consumer protection laws, data protection laws and regulations, and other global legal frameworks
• Coordinate with public policy, privacy, communications and other cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues
• Enable product teams to move quickly by proactively identifying and helping to resolve areas of potential legal risk
• Serve as the first point of contact for your product team’s legal questions, and for the broader legal team’s questions about your product

Minimum Qualifications:

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
• 8 years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience
• Experience working with mobile, application development, social networking, or other Internet companies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working independently and cross-functionally
• In-house and privacy experience
• Experience working with technology litigation
• Experience working with product review
