Cancer Center of South Florida is Hiring a Project Manager Near Beach, FL

Under the supervision of the Vice-President of Strategy and Network Development, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects from inception to completion with a goal of improving the efficiency and quality of the delivery output for oncology services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment, managing change, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, if applicable, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Essential Functions:

  • Develops comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, for all aspects of assigned projects while considering the unique requirements of the practice.
  • Establishes, leads, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, including both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure effective project execution and communication.
  • Ensures projects adhere to healthcare industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA and other relevant compliance requirements.
  • Proactively identifies potential project risks, develops mitigation strategies to minimize delays or obstacles, escalates issues to leadership, and implements approved mitigation steps.
  • Maintains detailed project documentation, tracks progress in real time, and provides regular reports to leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Coordinates meetings, project teams, and work groups.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Responds to staff questions and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
  • Works collaboratively with peers and senior management to ensure business needs are being met.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all information; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Performs essential job functions safely, consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, other federal, state, and local standards and company attendance policies and procedures.
  • Complies with all personnel, operating, and financial policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties to be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable relevant experience required.
  • At least 3 years of experience as project manager including successful project completion, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, particularly HIPAA.
  • Excellent time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to function in a high-paced environment.
  • Problem solver with critical thinking skills who can work independently.
  • Empathetic and motivated to improve the patient experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent i.e. CAPM, APM, MPM, Prince2) is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a strong knowledge of project management software applications, Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to operate basic Internet software. The individual should be able to operate a computer to accurately enter data into a database, search for information, send and receive email and attachments. Must use the internet to access schedules, research insurance information, etc. Work requires extensive work using a computer.
