We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paving Project Manager to oversee all aspects of our paving projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management with specific expertise in paving and roadwork. They will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating all phases of paving projects to ensure timely completion, and adherence to budget, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
• Review and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and specifications.
• Lead and motivate project teams, including site supervisors, foremen, and laborers. Provide guidance, support, and direction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship and materials meet or exceed project requirements and industry standards.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Provide accurate and timely cost estimates and forecasts.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays, cost overruns, and other issues.
• Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Prepare regular progress reports, including project status, financial performance, and key milestones. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in project management, specifically in paving and road construction projects.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• In-depth knowledge of paving techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
• FDOT experience preferred.
