Camp Bow Wow Hoboken is Hiring a Front Desk Counselor (FT) Near Hoboken, NJ
Key Holder / Open Facility for AM Shift / Close Facility for PM Shift / Manage Front Desk-Front of House for Doggy Day Care & Boarding Facility
Primary Responsibilities:
- Reliable staff member to open facility each morning (open 615am; shift begins 630am) or close facility each evening (7pm)
- Greet customers and their dogs by name.
- Answer phones and explain our services, our policies, and procedures.
- Manage reservations.
- Send reminder text messages for next-day services.
- Receive and record payments.
- Scan and file camper applications and vaccination records.
- Verify and update dog counts at all times.
- Review upcoming reservations and contact customers for updated vaccines and deposits.
- Escort dogs to the back of the house and bring dogs to the front of the house when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized lobby and front desk area.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager / Owner.
- Having a sunny, upbeat personality and a love of dogs is a must!!
Essential Skills:
- Extremely energetic, outgoing, and upbeat with a positive personality.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace, in a team environment, and have exceptional customer service skills!
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Quick learner on the computer; experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Must be dependable; impeccable attendance.
- MUST LOVE DOGS - the noise, the hair, the messes the love, and the smiles!!!!!!!!
Reporting:
- Camp Manager / Franchise Owner.
Availability:
- 5-6 Days a Week (30-35hrs a week); likely include some weekend days and Holidays.
Pay:
- $15.00 per hour depending on experience; tips distributed to employees.
Education:
- High school or equivalent. (Required)
Experience:
- Front Desk: 1 year. (Preferred)
