Position Summary:

Works in the kitchen washing dishes. Works closely with cooks and other members of the staff to maintain cleanliness and sanitation for the restaurant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The Dishwasher is responsible for the proper cleaning and sanitation of all service ware
• The Dishwasher ensures properly cleaned dishes by frequently changing water in the three compartment sink, checking water temperature and using test strips to test for proper chemical levels
• The dishwasher insures that all items are allowed to air dry before stacking
• This position maintains the cleanliness of the Assembly Kitchen throughout the shift and closes it down at the end of the night
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Assist service staff with opening and closing dining room
• Other duties as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant experience preferred
• Ability to read and understand foodservice recipes
• Able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, standing for long periods of time, climbing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and lifting up to 55 lbs. Ability to carry and lift cookware (pots, pans, etc) containing hot or cool foods and liquids. Ability to use sharp knives and cooking utensils. Must be able to use cleaning compounds and cleaning products. Must be able carry large bins filled with dishes, silverware and other eating utensils. Ability to work with a variety of restaurant equipment and tools.
• Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights and weekends. This position is part time. You will work 2- 12:00pm to 5:00pm shifts and 2- 5:00pm - 10pm shifts per week. Days will rotate. Must be able to work overtime as required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
