SUMMARY: The Regional Quality Manager is a member of the Corporate Quality and Compliance team, responsible for successful management, oversight, and support of quality performance and activities across multiple offices within the assigned Region. This role is expected to oversee implementations necessary to ensure inspection, laboratory, and customer service provided by CTD offices are in accordance with business needs of the Division and in conformance with the Company and Division’s Quality Management System (QMS). When not on-site or travelling for business needs, the RQM may have the flexibility to work from a home office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be designated based on the business requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Indirectly supervise all department managers, supervisors and front-line employees within Region on matters concerning quality performance. Practice mutual respect and communication regularly with team.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS: The employee shall possess the ability to read, interpret, write reports, business correspondence, procedures, and test methods. Shall possess the ability to effectively speak and present technical information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Capable of performing all calculations required for the management and operations of the inspection and laboratory businesses. Able to read, understand and analyze statistical analysis. 3

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to apply common-sense understanding to complex situations and able to prepare and/or follow instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.

CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS, AND LICENSES: Valid driver’s license required. Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, and/or other continuous improvement certifications desirable.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and with explosive material and can be regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of radiation. When required, the proper personal protective equipment shall be used, accordingly. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The employee shall be available on short notice to travel to any Bureau Veritas office or laboratory in the process of providing project or business support. The travel related to work shall be dependent upon Bureau Veritas’s business requirements. Estimated travel 25-50%. When not travelling for business needs, the employee may have the flexibility to work from a home office.
