Job Description
We are hiring a Construction Inspector to join our team!
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate with client, contractors (builders), and team members
- Inspect jobs per approved policies/procedures, plans, change orders, or revisions
- Maintain positive relationships with all program participants
- Coordinate the feedback as needed to all parties involved in the project, which include the contractors and Construction Manager
- Provide timely notifications to Construction Manager of any schedule deviations
- Monitor contractor compliance with site safety requirements and promptly report any unsafe conditions
- Ensures project documents are completed, collected, and signed in a timely manner
- Perform daily, weekly, monthly reporting and data collection duties as assigned by management team
Required Skills and Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience working on building/renovation projects
- Knowledge/experience with reviewing contract drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure all work conforms to contract requirements
- Written and verbal skills to communicate with project team members including preparing daily, weekly, monthly reports and document work completed, contractor issues, material delivery and installation
- OSHA 30 hours certificate
- Driver's license and own transportation
- ASCE Grade I or NICET III or above
- ACI concrete inspection certificate
- NYC DDC water main training (preferred)
Education:
- Degree of Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management
