We’re looking for a Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant will take ownership of monthly close and reporting and bring their expertise to automate and improve current processes. This person will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and driven by personal success. This role is perfect for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to make your mark on a growing tech company.

What you'll do

• Support and participate in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of sub-ledger and general ledger accounts
• Manage full cycle accounts payable process
• Manage full cycle invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable processes
• Prepare and maintain schedules for assets related to costs of obtaining and fulfilling a contract, including commission accruals and expenses
• Maintain and improve the use of accounting and commission systems, including the implementation of changes and new functionality 
• Support the Controller in identifying and implementing improvements to automate existing processes for increased efficiency and accuracy 
• Assist in preparing monthly reporting package, providing insight into business trends and variance analysis to leadership
• Support the overall business by analyzing company spend and account balances, providing accurate and insightful information to support business decisions
• Assist with the annual external financial audit
• Perform ad hoc projects and other assigned tasks 

What you need

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred 
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience; 2 years of public accounting experience preferred
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP; experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606, including contract modifications and costs of obtaining a contract
• Experience in a SaaS company preferred 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly detail-oriented and resourceful

• Highly motivated, self-directed, and able to work independently
• Thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
• NetSuite or other large ERP systems and Salesforce experience required
• Experience with SPIFF or other commission systems preferred; experience with spend management systems preferred
• International experience and/or foreign language skills would be a plus
