Building Material Supply Inc - BMSI is Hiring a Project Manager Near Phoenix, AZ

Overview:
We are a leading division 10 architectural product distributor, manufactures representative, and subcontractor. We continue to grow in size and visibility due to our strong commitment to innovation and integrity. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects from contract start to completion. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage scope and timelines.

Duties:

  • Defining project scope, developing submittals, and product lead-times for awarded contracts.
  • Manage project budgets, including estimating change orders, and ensuring projects stay within budget.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Conducting onsite field measurements and updating submittals matching field measurements. Including field meetings and site visits.
  • Ordering material and ensuring material is onsite during installation.
  • Coordinating and managing installation on awarded projects.
  • Managing product delivery and ensuring product is onsite for scheduled installation.
  • Implement project management methodologies and best practices to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills:

  • Strong conflict management skills to effectively resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Proficient in budgeting techniques to accurately estimate costs and manage project finances.
  • Experience in supervising, providing direction and support to achieve project goals.
  • Knowledge of contract management principles to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks software order procurement.
  • Ability to gather product submittals from manufacturers.
  • Experience of reading of construction plans and specs.
  • Excellent leadership skills to inspire team members and drive successful project outcomes.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1yr experience in project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with estimating projects (project duration, units of measure, etc.) and preparing estimates form architectural drawings.
  • Division 10 product experience a plus.
