BUCKNER is Hiring a Talent Development Specialist Near Salt Lake, UT

Position Title: Talent Development Specialist
Classification: Exempt
Reports To:  VP Human Resources
Hours: Full Time
Location: Salt Lake OfficePosition SummaryBuckner is looking for a motivated and skilled individual with 5 years of experience in organizational, leadership, and talent development. This position will be responsible for coaching, strategic planning, succession planning, implementing performance reviews, and creating development programs for employees at different levels within an organization.Responsibilities:
  • Proactively identify organizational alignment and enhancement opportunities and provide guidance to the Exec Team/ VP HR related to increasing performance and capability (learning program design, team effectiveness)
  • Develop and design Career Development/Pathing solutions across the organization
  • Partner with the Corp Trainer to ensure alignment with corporate learning and development objectives
  • Facilitate training programs using skillful application of adult learning theory to ensure learning outcomes are achieved
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of training events using data
  • Create a course library for personal and professional development for our employees in partnership with HR’s “Level Up” initiative
  • Formalize a performance review process
  • Administer assessments for personal development and leadership development such as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Emotional Quotient Inventory (EQi) 2.0 and 360, StrengthsFinder, etc.
  • Culture integration and change management coaching with acquisitions
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
  • 5 years of significant work experience
  • 3 years’ experience in an HR (or related) role responsible for the development and implementation of talent programs in large-scale, blended learning environments
  • Understanding of the theory and practice of talent management
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field
Required Job Skills:
  • Ability to work with a variety of organization leadership to build consensus around Talent Development strategy and implementation.
  •  Demonstrated background in human resources functions and proven ability to attract and retain exceptional employees.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, as well as proven organizational skills. Must also project the highest levels of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision on assigned tasks, to work well under deadlines, and to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • MS Office, computer proficiency for correspondence, data entry, e-mail, Internet, spreadsheets and accessing data from company systems.
