Summary:

One of the most crucial phases in the federal business development lifecycle is Capture. The Business Development (BD) Capture Manager identifies and qualifies opportunities, while our Proposal Manager is responsible for preparing the proposal response. 

During capture, BTI focuses on strategy development; blending our BD team's understanding of the customer (their operating environment, pain points, ideal end state), and our Capture Manager maps that intelligence into our proposal's technical, management, and pricing approaches. Capture Manager will ensure a pursuit team stays on track and focuses on content development that will improve our chances of winning.

To be successful, we are looking for a Capture Manager who has experience in marketing, corporate strategy, proposal development, an understanding of innovative technologies, financials, pricing strategies, contracts, project management, human resources, and anything else required for the bid.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages opportunity pipeline
  • Uses BTI tools to collect business intelligence and evaluate the customer analysis and the competitor analysis
  • Performs internal analysis of our company's strengths and weaknesses, and uses this information to drive the company’s win strategy for an opportunity
  • Qualifies opportunities and provides go/no-go recommendations
  • Presents opportunities at each gate review to executive leadership
  • Develops the capture strategy and identifies actions that need to be taken to implement the capture strategy and plan
  • Leads strategic capture efforts throughout the capture and proposal lifecycles
  • Manages and directs various business functions through the capture process
  • Works across teams to develop solutions and meet client requirements
  • Collaborates with SMEs

Education/Experience:

· 5 years as a technical program manager or similar 

· Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience 

· MBA preferred 

Skills:

  • Demonstrated analytical, reasoning, planning,and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work with executives and senior leadership
  • Demonstrated skills in communicating technical information to non-technical and technical customers, as well as how core technologies translate into customers’ critical capabilities
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
  • A high level of self-motivation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Microsoft Office 365 to include SharePoint

· Monday.com (Preferred but not required)

· Sam.gov

· GSA eBuy

· Other Federal Contract Vehicles 

Work Environment:

· Currently in office 4 days a week 

· Small business environment

· Office available
