Broadway Community serves hundreds of New Yorkers experiencing homelessness and hunger through a broad range of programs including a soup kitchen, a food pantry, a seven-night-a-week shelter, on-site medical services, a computer lab, employment assistance, benefits enrollment, a life skills program, and more.

About the Chef and Food Service Director Role
With significant latitude for independent decision making, the Chef and Food Service Director will oversee all food service programs at Broadway Community (e.
g. soup kitchen and food pantry) in addition to serving as a key member of the senior management team. Reporting directly to the Executive Director and working with a talented team of staff and volunteers, the Chef will ensure that all food programs operate within budgeted guidelines and to the highest safety and quality standards.

Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with major course work in food service, nutrition or institutional management OR a minimum of three years of full-time management experience in the food service industry.
