This "hunter" role involves identifying and pursuing new opportunities, leading capture campaigns, and closing contracts. The successful candidate will work closely with company leadership to define growth strategies, expand the business base, and support the short and long-term strategic plan. A key aspect of the role is the development and execution of strategic capture plans to ensure the achievement of financial objectives, as well as actively managing sales plans and forecasts.Applicants for the Director of Business Development position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, with an MBA being desired. A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in engineering, business development, program management, or business management is required, with a strong understanding of aerospace, defense, and commercial markets. The role demands a background in advanced airborne thermal management systems and experience in selling hardware system solutions to various markets. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable track record of success in business development, established customer relationships, and excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
