As a Senior Manager within the procurement team, you will report to the Director, Procurement, leading a team with a focus on developing the vision and direction within the network equipment and construction spend categories across the Brightspeed enterprise. You will own aspects of aligning with Brightspeed’s business goals and driving end to-end category strategy, performance effectiveness, efficiency, value, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management. In this role, you will need a proactive work ethic, strong relationship building skills, sharp analytical skills, strategic thinking, the ability to bring individuals together in cross-functional teams, influence decision making, multi-tasking and time management skills.Come join the team that will build the fastest fiber-optic network in America!As a Senior Manager, Procurement, your duties and responsibilities will include:Lead a team on the development and implementation of procurement initiatives, strategic pricing negotiations, RFx activity and contract negotiationsCollaborate with business units to develop strategies and implement to optimize material selection for lowest cost, predict availability, and promote industry leadership in qualityEstablish and develop strategic sourcing strategies and supplier relationshipsDrive fact-based negotiations based on market intelligence, best practices and RFx activityLead contract negotiations with experience drafting and redlining MSA’s, SOWs, Amendments, Schedules etc. Lead alignment efforts between BU stakeholders, legal teams and other matrix organizations (security, compliance etc.).Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Network Operations, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, Sales & Marketing, and Supply Chain to establish optimal business models with Suppliers that enables supplier diversification goals and maximizes value for BrightspeedDrive continuous optimization of supply base with input on performance management measures and process enhancementOversee the transition from one software application into another within the construction spaceCoordinate appropriate Supplier reviews focused on performance, opportunity, and innovationEnsure smooth operations by ensuring all negotiations are closed in a timely manner to meet specific business objectivesEffective communications with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to ensure execution of business goals and objectivesQualificationsWHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:10 years preferred in a procurement-focused role, 4 years in a management roleBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or equivalent experienceStrong leadership skills and the ability to direct others according to company initiatives and beliefsPrevious experience with network equipment and/or telcom constructionExperience and skill in negotiating, business math, business finance, contracting, report building, and supply base researchStrong financial acumenAble to build presentations and spreadsheets utilizing Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperienced manager with significant experience working with global suppliers and remote teams #LI-SS1Additional InformationWHY JOIN US?We aspire to contemporary ways of working.At Brightspeed, we have roles that are designated as remote, hybrid, office or field-based, depending on the position, business needs and individual circumstances.
