Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager/Buyer to oversee our purchasing activities and ensure the timely procurement of materials and services required for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of optimizing procurement processes to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's operational needs and objectives.
2. Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong relationships to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality materials and services at competitive prices.
3. Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and finance teams, to forecast demand, prioritize purchasing requirements, and align procurement activities with business goals.
5. Evaluate supplier capabilities, conduct supplier audits, and assess risks to ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and ethical practices.
6. Lead cross-functional teams to evaluate and select suppliers, manage supplier performance, and resolve quality, delivery, and pricing issues.
7. Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
8. Monitor inventory levels, manage inventory turnover, and optimize inventory control processes to minimize stockouts, reduce carrying costs, and improve cash flow.
9. Analyze procurement data, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
10. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in procurement and supply chain management to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field. 
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, is required.
3. Demonstrated strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis expertise.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Knowledge of industry regulations, quality standards, and procurement and supply chain management best practices.
8. Proven track record of driving results, achieving cost savings, and improving efficiency in procurement operations.
