Provides required data to Global and Strategic Directors when required
Logistics vendor - commercial management (inbound and outbound)
Conducting logistics RFQs, selection of appropriate logistics vendors, performance improvement, contracting, regular vendor business reviews, spot freight pricing, monitoring regional and global freight trends/standards/best practices, cost savings tasks for;
Business Analysis, Reporting and Regional Operational Support such as;
KPI and FAPS reporting
Freight cost savings tracker
Logistics Market analysis and budget indicators
Monitor and improve the KPI’s for TransPlace, XPO, and other key vendors to assure expectations/metrics are being met or exceeded. Enhance reporting/tools that give better visibility of freight spend by mode.
Develop and execute a regional logistics procurement strategy to support overall business plan and performance objectives
Develop process improvements related to “outsourcing” freight payment activities as they relate to international operations and small package/parcel to assure invoice accuracy and improved reporting.
Experience:
10 years’ purchasing experience in a logistics procurement and outsourced operations environment in the USA and Mexico
Knowledge:
Purchasing and tender management experience
International experience preferred
Experience in logistics analysis (KPI, Metric Reporting)
Knowledge of budgeting and P&L analysis as it relates to transportation
