As a Product Marketing Manager at Brighton Jones, you will play a pivotal role in defining our business segments and product offerings, crafting compelling messaging frameworks, and creating a strategic roadmap for our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leverage data-driven insights, and harness your creativity to shape our marketing strategies and execution. The ideal candidate will have a rich background in marketing, exceptional copywriting skills, and the ability to work seamlessly with agencies to develop web content and other marketing assets.

Your Role:

Messaging and Positioning:

  • Create messaging frameworks that effectively communicate product features, benefits, and unique value propositions.
  • Ensure consistent and compelling messaging and copy across all marketing channels and materials.
  • Update and refine our client personas.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with service, program and product leaders, Business Development, Client Experience, and other teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of marketing strategies.
  • Serve as the point of contact on the marketing team for service and product leaders.
Product Strategy and Roadmap:
  • Collaborate with business leaders to define and refine business segments and product offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap that aligns with annual Key Results and our Three-Year Picture.
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements and innovation.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
  • Utilize market research, customer feedback, and data analytics to inform marketing strategies and product improvements.
  • Draft and present insights to business leaders and the marketing team to inform key decision makers.
Marketing Execution:
  • Craft and optimize marketing collateral - including web pages, videos, articles, case studies, and animations - to drive product awareness and engagement.
  • Develop marketing briefs for agencies and internal teams, guiding the creation of compelling content that resonates with our target audience.
Your Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field required
  • 4-7 years of proven experience in product marketing, preferably in technology, wealth management or financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting persuasive copy.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with agencies to create web content and marketing collateral.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful marketing strategies.
  • Creative thinker with a track record of innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Compensation:
  • $110,000 - $125,000 per year.

What to expect in the hiring process

 1. Values in Action Self-Assessment - at Brighton Jones we don’t just talk about our values, we live by them! We’ve operationalized our values into behaviors and part of the application process includes completing a brief self-assessment on our Values in Action.

 2. Initial Interview - this 30-min chat with a recruiter or hiring manager gives us a chance to learn about your background and goals and share more about the role and company.

 3. Role Alignment - next you’ll meet with the hiring manager and a peer (virtual or in-person) to dive deeper into the role, responsibilities, and your transferrable experiences.

 4. Full Loop - you’ll meet the team in two, back-to-back interviews with team members you’re likely to work with. During these conversations, we’ll be listening for examples of your technical skills as well as how core values show up in your experience. There may also be a writing sample, role play, hiring, or technical assessment depending on the position.

 5. Personal Reference Calls - in this final step in the hiring process, you will be asked to arrange 1-2 personal reference calls with past managers of our choosing.
