BrainCheck Inc. is Hiring a Product Manager Near Austin, TX

Product Manager

About BrainCheck:

Working at BrainCheck means you are a critical component of a diverse team of mission-driven entrepreneurs influencing the future of healthcare. What we do matters because we make a tangible impact on the lives of very real people. At our core, we are a Mission-Driven Company.

BrainCheck has built an end-to-end cognitive assessment and cognitive care management platform which enables providers to provide cognitive healthcare to patients who previously required referral to a neuro-specialist. Our platform is being used by hundreds of providers across the country in a variety of settings, ranging from independent practices to some of the largest Health Systems.

The company is funded by world-class VCs and has recently raised its Series B. Our team of 50 is based in Houston and Austin Texas, and we employ a hybrid-remote model to foster a fun and flexible work culture.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for successfully integrating our product portfolio into our customer’s clinical workflow systems (electronic health records, application programming interface, etc.) From identifying requirements and facilitating customer discovery to elaborating user stories with engineers, you’ll use all of your “soft” and “hard” skills to be successful in this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Understand BrainCheck’s product portfolio and determine how to best integrate our solutions, to solve real-world healthcare challenges.
  • Excellent organization, planning, and business skills alongside strategic thinking ability; able to see the big picture and how it connects to the details.
  • Gather technical requirements from internal and external stakeholders, and elaborate feature requests — understanding the “why” behind the “what” people are asking for.
  • Translate requirements, providing unambiguous direction to design and development to ensure what is built is in line with the goals of the business.
  • Design and manage testing protocols (user testing and A/B testing) to enhance usability and on-time delivery of features.
  • Leverage Agile methodologies to keep teams aligned and rapidly deliver value to the business. Lead Agile ceremonies.
  • Build and socialize release plans aligned to strategic goals and organizational priorities while effectively leading partner tradeoffs.
  • Collaborate with technology peers to lead technical roadmap and release planning efforts.

About you:

  • You are a great communicator — in person and in writing — and an even better listener, never afraid to question assumptions.
  • You’ve often been described as a “detail-oriented person” and have a knack for clear communication, formatted spreadsheets, and collaboration tools
  • Your strong quantitative skills allow you to ask (and answer) questions about the business, understand the impact of an initiative/product, and report on results.
  • You’re a self-starter who sets ambitious goals and aims to surpass them. A focused, disciplined, and capable individual who effectively self-manages across multiple priorities.
  • You’re a great collaborator who builds trust across the whole company and can lead through influence.
  • Strong interest in the future of healthcare
  • Understanding of healthcare, clinical workflows, and electronic health records
  • Excellent product, program and project management skills and demonstrated technical aptitude.

Qualifications & compensation

  • Bachelor's degree (extra points for an MS or MBA) or Product Management Certification
  • At least 3 years of professional experience working as a technical product manager
  • Experience in healthcare tech and electronic health records
  • Experience working in a startup environment is also a big plus
  • Some travel (<25%) expected at this stage
  • Competitive compensation consisting of cash and equity
Why You’ll Love It at BrainCheck
  • We are a fast growing, dynamic company with a culture of fun because we play just as hard as we work
  • We provide coaching, mentorship and opportunities for promotion from within
  • We provide generous medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees and their dependents and flexible time off
  • We’re an equal-opportunity employer. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status
