Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with Senior GME Finance Manager on current process for billing with Veteran Affairs (VA), including create billing schedules for all Residents and Fellows on VA rotations.
2. Review and reconcile BMC schedule billing with the VA schedule billing monthly.
3. Thoroughly research and follow up on VA billing variances from budget to actuals, collaborating with program leaders and GME team members to gather relevant information.
4. Assist Senior GME Finance Manager with the GME department budgeting process for Residents and Fellows.
5. Create monthly billing for other affiliate resident rotations as needed.
6. Assist with and begin to oversee the Medicare IRIS billing process
7. Review and complete residency program financial reports, including variance analysis
8. Identify opportunities for operational improvement within GME Finance processes and procedures 9. Work to create documentation and develop appropriate standard work for the resident VA and Medicare, billing, auditing, and reporting processes
