Position Summary

The Manager, Corporate Financial Analyst will provide modeling, reporting, and analytical support to the Finance & Accounting team under the direction of the VP of Corporate Finance.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Translate the knowledge of how Berkshire does business into models to provide detailed output for real-time decision making
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Responsible for pulling metrics and financial data out of Workday for further analysis or to complete ad-hoc requests
  • Maintain and improve the existing build outs in Workday
  • Thoroughly review data coming onto the platform and reconcile where needed
  • Evaluate business specific financial trends and incorporate with industry or economic trends to create relevant output
  • Develop controls to ensure data integrity
  • Review the output of existing dashboards and delegate maintenance tasks to the corporate analyst
  • Assist with the training of new employees across the firm who will be using the Workday platform
  • Create new exhibits and visualizations that can be used by senior management and the board of directors
  • Provide support with ad hoc projects requested by senior management
  • Consistently demonstrate use of tact and discretion

Knowledge/Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of financial analysis and modeling experience
  • Experience with modeling in Workday Adaptive Planning
  • Interest in organizing, prioritizing, and leading multiple priorities, using critical thinking and problem solving
  • Real estate investment industry experience is preferred
  • Proven understanding of accounting and finance is required
  • Proven multi-modal communication style that reaches every collaborator, specifically excellent verbal, and written communications
  • Ability to connect with and manage up to senior management
  • Collaborative working style with inclusive work and thinking behaviors, commitment to excellence in teams and work product, with a strong work ethic
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence in high pressure and critical situations
  • Tenacity, grit, and perseverance to work on dynamic projects from beginning to end of process

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and communications of information
  • Develop productive working relationships with all team members including third-party partners
  • Proven high level of ethics and integrity with a straightforward and transparent approach

Technical/Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proficiency with Workday Adaptive Planning preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced financial modeling and Excel skills required
  • Proven ability to use and learn new technology (e.g., computers/hardware, mobile, software, cloud-based programs)
  • Proficiency with computers, keyboards, monitors and telephone headsets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Products (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, Power Point, Power BI)
  • Proficiency with Yardi a plus
  • Proficiency with Adobe required
