Responsible for the continuing development and implementation of outpatient education in the area of diabetes management Description
  • Valid Alabama RN license.
  • Currently board certified as a diabetes educator (CDE) or board eligible preferred.
  • 3-5 years medical nursing experience required.
  • Experience in patient or staff education preferred.
  • Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns.
  • Strong oral and written skills required
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities required
  • Must be self directed and able to work independently
  • License as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Alabama, National Certification as Nurse Practitioner, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Additional specialty certification per P and P for assigned unit (Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation (Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP)), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), etc.).
