Job DescriptionThe Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences is searching for an Administrative Assistant who will support the daily operations of the department. The department currently has 14 full- time faculty, 6 part-time faculty, 20 graduate students, and an undergraduate program.
With the support of the Associate Director and the Chair, the Administrative Assistant will implement administrative processes and provide administrative support to the Chair, the Dir. of Graduate Studies, and the Dir. of Undergraduate Studies, including the handling of confidential information. They will manage general office operations, assist in department event planning, and field basic questions from undergraduate majors, minors, and non-majors. Successful candidates will manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously by prioritizing, setting clear expectations, and managing time to meet deadlines.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $42,350 to $52,950; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
