Boston Children's Hospital is Hiring a Clinical Social Worker, MSW Cardiology Near Boston, MA
Position Description
This Cardiovascular Clinical Social Worker will be responsible for:
- Providing a wide range of clinical social work services to children, adolescents and their families while inpatient in the Cardiovascular Program.
- Psychosocial screening and assessments.
- Short-term focused counseling.
- Facilitation of use of hospital and community resources.
- Psychosocial consultation to multidisciplinary team and case management, including acute assessment and consultation of child protection cases, crisis intervention and grief/bereavement counseling.
- Strong multidisciplinary team approach.
- A Master's degree in Social Work.
- LCSW Social Work licensure in the state of Massachusetts. LICSW preferred.
- Previous medical social work experience is preferred.
- The analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Spanish language skills a plus.
