Deputy Operations Director

About the Role: Bob Casey for Senate is looking for a Deputy Operations Director to join a growing Operations team to help re-elect Senator Bob Casey. This individual will work closely with the Operations Director to implement and develop our Operations Department.

The Deputy Operations Director will help with managing the campaign schedule, oversee office management for the Bob Casey for Senate HQ office, help with campaign event logistics and execution, and assist with overall operational needs of the campaign. A successful candidate will be detail oriented, nimble, a self-starter, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects at once.

Responsibilities:

• Logistics and Scheduling:
  • Work across campaign departments and with official side staff to manage scheduling for campaign events, including travel arrangements and staff logistics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for outside stakeholders requesting event or meeting appearances.
  • Collaborate with Operations Director to coordinate logistics and advance for major campaign events.
  • Assist Operations Director on coordination with the Coordinated Operations team to ensure good cross-organizational systems for supply, advance, and material logistics across the Commonwealth
  • Book travel and logistics for campaign staff for campaign events.
• Onboarding and Office Management:
  • Assist with the onboarding of staff, including, welcome materials, ensuring staff have access to campaign technology, and other needs.
  • Ensure Bob Casey for Senate HQ runs smoothly by coordinating office supplies, maintenance needs, and general upkeep of the space.
  • Oversee hours tracking and reporting for internship programs.
  • Help to ensure that the campaign is following IT and security best practices for our staff and office.
• Additional Responsibilities:
  • Work with supporters across the state to coordinate the distribution of campaign materials.
  • Other projects as assigned by the Operations Director.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 cycles of campaign or equivalent operations experience (“cycle” can mean primaries, specials, etc.)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing a complex scheduling and executing multi-step logistics plans.
• A positive attitude and commitment to reelecting Senator Bob Casey.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Access to cell phone, laptop, valid driver’s license, and access to reliable and consistent transportation (this position will require travel across the region and state periodically)

Logistics:

• Level: Deputy Director
• Salary Band: $6000 per month, commensurate with experience
• Location: Philadelphia
• Benefits: Medical, dental vision plan at no premium upon meeting plan eligibility requirements
• Leave: Paid time off will be available per Campaign policy.
• Hours: Full-time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign and point in the cycle and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle.
