Blue Zoo is an interactive aquarium! Touch and feed stingrays, birds and reptiles, see sharks, clownfish, angelfish and enjoy play equipment, shows and water play tables!
As an assistant manager you will be responsible for assisting members of your education team
and guest interactions at Blue Zoo during your assigned shifts. Assistant manager will work on
the aquarium floor assisting guests and their team members with day-to-day aquarium
operations
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in all aspects of the blue zoo
operations. The main focus of this position is to lead the front-of-house and back-of-
house teams and organize daily blue zoo operations with a goal of controlling costs and
providing a high-quality experience to customers. Other focuses include back-office
work, personnel management, and inventory management.
Make daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations
Keep inventory form and stocking area updated
Maintain direct communication with guests for special requests and large party
reservation
Assists General Manager with training and development of all blue zoo
employees including husbandry team, hosts, events coordinators, education team,
management. Provides conflict resolution and ensures disciplinary / termination
procedures are followed and that all workplace standards are upheld
Executes sales and marketing opportunities while maximizing cost controls. Motivates
team to achieve business goals and objectives and assists General Manager in preparing
the weekly GM Report, monitoring, and analyzing weekly and monthly cost of goods,
sales, comps and labor reports
responsible for facility maintenance and ensures an “A” grade compliance with the
Health Department and oversees all inspections. Maintains opening, running, and
closing venue checklists to ensure facility maintenance standards
Develops and builds Guest relations and ensures all guest complaints are resolved.
Maintains high guest satisfaction through constant training, education, and practice of
high service standards. Also maintains an “open door” for policy for Manager and
employee communication
Maintains systems, policies, and procedures for use in recruiting, hiring, training,
management, inventory, scheduling, cost and operational efficiencies
Execute Blue Zoo business plan and assist General Manager with developing
and executing tactics to achieve goals and targets
Responsible for execution of policies, operating procedures, training programs,
directives, rules, and regulations for the restaurant staff
·Responsible for completion of all company compliance training by the Husbandry
team staff
Reacts to any guest complaints and takes any appropriate action
Manages guest feedback channels through approved company practices
Perform other job-related duties as requested
Assisting with the day-to-day activities of the education team

Assisting with events, including afterhours events, when needed

Cash handling experience
