Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Comptroller to join our team. As the Comptroller, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our organization, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance.
Duties:
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger
- Ensure accurate and timely regulatory reporting
- Conduct regular financial forecasting and analysis to support decision-making
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements
- Provide technical accounting expertise to resolve complex accounting issues
- Oversee cash management activities, including cash flow projections and investment strategies
- Monitor and manage the organization's financial performance, identifying areas for improvement
- Supervise a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- CPA certification is required
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, including public accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and GAAP principles
- Experience with technical accounting research and application
- Proficiency in financial management systems and software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong understanding of regulatory reporting requirements
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
