JOB DETAILS
Job Title: ACCOUNTING CLERK, ACCOUNTS PAYABLE

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for vendor & carrier invoices and other accounting functions as necessary. Will also be trained as backup to claims department.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to Accounting Manager. Works closely with Purchasing, Accounting, Traffic, Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Download daily bank reports
- Post daily cash receipts
- Process daily sales & invoicing reports
- Maintain & distribute daily sales report
- Send customer invoices
- Process AP vendor invoices
- Review & process carrier freight invoices
- Contact carriers regarding any freight disputes
- Maintain & distribute outbound freight accrual report
- Mail weekly AP checks
- Maintain temporary labor spreadsheet
- Update container spreadsheet
- Set up containers
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements
- Post monthly customs and JPMorgan credit card payments
- Maintain Hicksgas spreadsheet for annual audit
- Assist with other accounting duties as necessary
- Backup to claims dept during time off
