Summary: Payroll Clerk / HR Assistant will work in the human resources department with their main responsibility being to process the weekly payroll, maintain employee files and uniform program as well as help with employee recruitment, issues and moral. As part of their role, they will serve as a contact between the HR department and the rest of the organization. This position is also responsible for maintaining the HRIS system in regard to payroll, assisting with tine and labor, performance review process, recruitment, onboarding, policy implementation, and general HR/office duties.
Reports To: HR Manager
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point.
· Strong HRIS and payroll system experience especially with the Paylocity payroll system.
· Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.

· This job is performed in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
