We are looking to hire a Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, cleaning dishes, as well as ensuring kitchen equipment and utensils are clean and in an orderly condition.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintains high sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils
- Ensures that the dishwashing area along with the entire kitchen/s are maintained and cleaned to the highest standards
- Sorts and rinses dirty dishes, glasses, tableware and other cooking utensils and places them in racks to send through dish machine
- Sorts and stacks clean dishes
- Sweeps and mops floors, fills and empties soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
- Cleans the kitchen refrigerators, ceiling air vents and other kitchen equipment
- Wipes up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry and clean
- Lifts and carry racks of dishes, glassware and other utensils
- Provides general assistance to cooks and chefs
- Available for weekend shifts

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:
- One-year experience in a full-service restaurant preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position will occasionally be required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a kitchen environment. This role routinely uses sinks and dishwashers and tools to clean kitchen appliances. Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
