Business Manager

Reports to: Chief Administrator Officer:

Position Description

As a HBA Business Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of financial management, grants management, customer experience management, and HR operations. Your role will involve ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of these areas to support the overall success of the organization.

Financial Management:

• Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Conduct financial forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
• Utilize Sedra (or similar financial software) to track expenses, revenue, and financial performance.
• Implement cash management strategies to optimize liquidity and minimize financial risk.

Grant Management:

• Research and identify grant opportunities relevant to the organization's mission and goals.
• Write compelling grant proposals, ensuring alignment with funder requirements and priorities.
• Manage the grant application process, including submission, tracking, and reporting.
• Cultivate relationships with funders and partners to secure new grant opportunities.

Customer Experience Management:

• Oversee the enrollment process for customers, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
• Develop strategies to improve customer retention and satisfaction.
• Analyze customer feedback and data to identify areas for enhancement in service delivery.

HR Operations:

• Manage contracts and agreements with vendors, partners, and service providers.
• Coordinate training programs for staff to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Support HR functions such as payroll, benefits administration, and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience in financial management, grants management, and customer service.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of grants writing and management processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to management.
