We are seeking enthusiastic teachers to join Best Academy in Springfield, VA for our 30th Academic Summer Camp! We are looking for skilled and energetic teachers of math, science, reading, writing, and other disciplines to help make our popular 8-week summer program a success. The camp will run Monday - Friday from June 20th - August 11th from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, from June 17 to August 9.

There are a variety of positions available. When applying, you must specify the subject area(s) and grade level(s) you are interested in working with in order to be considered. Applicants for head teacher must have 2 years minimum experience in the given subject area and SAT teachers must have minimum 2 years experience teaching/tutoring the SAT.

• Language Arts Teacher for 1st-4th Grade Enrichment Program
• Language Arts Teacher for 5th-8th Grade Enrichment Program
• Math Teacher for 1st-4th Grade Enrichment Program
• Math Teacher for 5th-8th Grade Enrichment Program
• Reading Teacher for 3th & 6th Grade Gifted​​ & Talented Program
• Writing Teacher for 3th & 6th Grade Gifted​​ & Talented Program
• Math Teacher for 3rd-6th Grade Gifted​​ & Talented Program
• SAT Reading Teacher
• SAT Math Teacher
• High School Subject Math Teachers for Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB & BC, Multi-Variable

Qualifications:

• Must be able to commit to the full 8 weeks
• Must have reliable transportation to and from campus
• Previous experience with childcare or other related fields
• Minimum of 2 years experience in applicable subject area / SAT test prep
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Creative and flexible teaching style

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Springfield, VA 22151: Relocate before starting work (Required)
