Purpose
Manage the work for all Maintenance Technicians insuring timely CM’s and PM’s to drive improvement in our overall plant efficiencies
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the Maintenance Technicians in Sterling, MA
- Support & comply with safety & environmental guidelines
- Improve machine up time by ensuring all CM’s and PM’s are properly performed and documented in MaintainX
- Maintain facility by ensuring daily walks are completed and other requirements per the Facilities Engineer
- Oversee spare parts inventory
- Research and purchase parts as needed for machine break downs and/or spare parts replacement
- Diagnose problems with equipment & repair/replace defective parts
- Drive 5S workplace organization in the maintenance area and support the initiative throughout the manufacturing and warehousing operations
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse and Engineering to create a team atmosphere
- Communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Warehouse Manager to develop a daily list of priorities for the maintenance team
- Make recommendations for improvement in the equipment and facilities
- Diagnose problems with equipment & assist to repair/replace defective parts
Qualifications
- Welding skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot & solve problems
- Advanced manufacturing mechanical experience
- Prior experience managing in a manufacturing environment
- No fear of heights
- Proficient in MS Office / Computer
- Basic understanding of motor controls and ability to read wiring diagrams
- Advanced manufacturing controls and wiring experience
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently climb towers up to 35 feet high
