Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our team. The Program Coordinator - Food Delivery will build connections with households who are food insecure. The position consists primarily of working with program participants, scheduling deliveries to individuals, food hubs, and congregate facilities. The position will work closely with volunteers and other delivery drivers to ensure participants receive food timely and efficiently. The position will work together with the Volunteer Manager to schedule volunteer groups to work in the warehouse and to deliver food. The Food Delivery Coordinator will work with volunteers, contract, and staff drivers to develop routes to deliver food to individuals, food hubs, and congregate facilities.
Warehouse work such as packing boxes, organizing, cleaning, shipping/receiving, and re-packaging as needed is included in the responsibilities of this position. This position will develop strong relationships with volunteers, staff, and community organizations.
This position will work collaboratively with the direct Supervisor, Warehouse and food delivery associate, Volunteer Manager, volunteers, staff, and partner organizations.
Duties:
- Coordinate program activities, including scheduling, logistics, and participant communication
- Assist in the development and implementation of program goals and objectives
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure program success
- Prepare program materials, such as presentations, reports, and training materials
- Monitor program progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to program activities
- Assist with program evaluation and analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Provide excellent customer service to program participants and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Experience in customer service or client-facing roles preferred
