Belvedere Trading is Hiring a Chief Financial Officer Near Chicago, IL

Belvedere Trading is seeking an experienced and analytical Chief Financial Officer to drive firm-wide financial operations and automation. This individual will play a strategic role in ensuring Belvedere Trading’s long-term success and provide overall leadership and direction of the finance and accounting function.

What you’ll do

  • Lead strategy and execution across all financial functions including Accounting, FP&A, Budgeting, Treasury Management, Tax, and Strategic Planning
  • Oversee the evolution and enforcement of firm-level financial controls and procedures
  • Build on established metrics to review and assess the firm’s financial operations performance
  • Evaluate and enhance the current system of financial policies, internal controls, accounting standards, and procedures
  • Review, analyze, and present financial data to management clearly, accurately, and in a timely fashion
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the company’s regulators and business partners that support the finance infrastructure
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by identifying and assessing ongoing and emerging financial risks and laws
  • Provide analytical and strategic support to Belvedere’s management team through continued development of internal management reporting capabilities
  • Coordinate the production of all required partnership tax documentation
  • Ensure team members receive timely and appropriate training and development
  • Mentor and develop team members using a supportive and collaborative approach: clarify responsibilities, set clear goals, establish priorities, and monitor and evaluate results
  • Remain current on the financial industry and evolving regulatory requirements
What you'll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional accounting designation (CFA, CMA, CPA, etc.)
  • 10 years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting, including a minimum of 7-10 years in a management role
  • 5 years managing and developing high-performing teams
  • Broker-Dealer experience with series 24 and 27 registrations a plus
  • Dedication to maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to highly sensitive information
  • Experience dealing with high levels of complexity in a fast-moving culture is a strong plus
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, ambition, and outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Team player with a "no task is too small" attitude
  • Enjoys working in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Passion to lead, manage, transform, and train team members
  • Exceptional communication and organization skills
