our Impact as a Technical Sales Account Manager

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Account Manager to join our team. As a Technical Sales Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth for our company by developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and providing technical expertise to maximize their satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of our products and services, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.

This role will be responsible for the general commercial strategy of Steel Wire Solutions focusing on sourcing new customers and business contacts, driving sales, and maintain strong relations with existing customers by demonstrating the technical features of Bekaert Orrville’s products.

Your Essential Job Functions

  • Executes sales and account strategies as directed by management, in accordance with corporate goals; helps to develop plans for strategic accounts.
  • Works closely with external customers, and internally with sales and technology teams to develop and maintain technical relationships with customers; understands customer’s product strategy, requirements and constraints; matches solutions to customers’ needs; resolves technical questions and issues.
  • Provides technical sales assistance to non-technical commercial team
  • Works with cross functional teams in the revision of existing specifications and assists with the development of new specifications; identifies and targets industry specific requirements, reviews and recommends appropriate changes to engineering specifications.
  • Delivers professional technical presentations, utilizing product samples and media.
  • Receives and follows-up on leads from business development prospects, identifies and prioritizes in order to make contact, answer questions and provide requested information.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts by understanding their needs and providing effective solutions
  • Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers across multiple levels within client organizations
  • Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts and generate new business leads
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of sales strategies and initiatives
  • Provide technical product demonstrations and presentations to clients, highlighting key features and benefits
  • Prepare sales proposals and negotiate contracts with clients to close deals
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify potential areas for improvement and growth

About You

Essential skills & competencies

  • 7-10 years of industry related experience.
  • College Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
  • Demonstratable experience dealing with customers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, continuously reaching out to a broad range of functions and levels in the organization. Stakekholeder management capabilities
  • Comfortable in managing ambiguity and complexity. Resilient
  • Continuously learning and exploring alternative options, routes and sources to resolve problems,
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independent, able to determine own direction
