Overview

Axient is currently seeking a highly motivated Security Assistant to support our Huntsville, AL office.

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with front desk duties in a high-visibility corporate environment.
• Will be responsible for shared operations of the front desk and front office activities to include: 
• Directing internal and external phone calls
• Greeting and assisting visitors to include signing in/out visitors with appropriate badges(s)
• Escorting visitors and/or vendors within the facility
• Sorting incoming/outgoing mail/packages
• Backup to Administrative Assistant duties
• Stocking supplies
• Catering meals for meetings
• Assist internal staff and visitors as needed
• Assisting with day-to-day administration of the company’s overall security programs.
• Assisting with Classified Meeting Protocols.
• Assisting in verifying security clearances through DISS/NBIS.
• Assisting in company bi-annual self-inspections.
• Assisting with initiating and renewing DoD Common Access Cards (CAC) for the company, consultants and/or subcontractors.
• Distributing and tracking security training requirements and documenting compliance records for employees, subcontractors and consultants to include DoD Refresher, Insider Threat, Derivative, Cyber, ITAR, etc.
• Distributing and tracking security briefings and documenting compliance records for employees, and consultants.
• Coordinate assigned aspects of security activities in accordance with company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal security regulations, directives, and manuals for safeguarding National Security Information.
• Participating in DCSA Vulnerability Assessments.
• Providing emergency response during non-working hours, as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned in support of the Facility Security Officer.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the required level.
• Able to successfully interact with all levels of an organization while building rapport and trust.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent planning, organization, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities to meet deadlines is critical.
• Courteous, professional, and high level of confidentiality.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Working knowledge of mail processes, postage machine, FedEx and USPS desired.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required along with phone etiquette
