Responsibilities Include:Manages departmental resources to assureappropriate levels of support are provided.Maintains expense and labor expenditures withincompany budgetary guidelines.Addresses customer concerns regarding quality.Manages the review, completion and timely updateof all inspector training records maintained in the training department.Authorizes individuals to become qualifiedinspectors through reviews of training and testing.Establishes periodic checks on inspection toolsand calibration of test equipment and precision tools.Evaluates that appropriately qualifiedinspectors have been assigned to inspection tasks.Ensures continuity of inspection and completionof required inspections during all shifts.Maintains countermand authority on airworthinessmatters over all QC Supervisors and Inspectors.Oversees the upkeep, maintenance anddistribution of rosters related to the Quality Department or regulatory bynature.Assigns inspection personnel to performoperational audits.Holds periodic meetings with respective crews toprovide information and to receive employee input on company and departmentalissues.Walks the operations floor regularly to providesurveillance, guidance and assistance.Implements and manages the internal auditprogram to ensure adherence to company and customer quality procedures andstandards.Monitors performance against applicablestandards and procedures.Oversees the development of processes forimproving quality.Supervises assigned quality assurance personnel.Meets with regulatory, supplier, customer, andcompany personnel to discuss and resolve quality problems as required.Prepares for and represents the company duringall related audits.Regular and prompt attendance.Effective and appropriate conduct withco-workers.Oversees the Company ISO activities.Oversees the Repair Station Manual system.Perform other duties as assigned.Some travel may be required.Support and follow SMS principals.Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and minimum of six (6) yearsaviation maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of experience andtraining.F.A.A. Airframe license required. A&Plicense preferred.Two (2) years supervisory or leadershipexperience required.Prior QC or QA experience preferred.Ability to communicate effectively both verballyand in writing.Good interpersonal skills and an ability to beprofessional and ethical at all times.Able to interpret technical and regulatorydocumentation accurately.Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel,PowerPoint).Strong understanding of Federal AviationRegulations including parts 43, 145 and 121.Ability to understand complex operations from abroad perspective.EMPLOYER’S RIGHTS:This job description is not a contract for employment and either party may terminate employment at any time.
