Being a part of ATS offers an opportunity to build meaningful partnerships, innovate new ideas, do the right thing, and make our company a great place to work! SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the Repair Engineer Associate supports the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) activities of Aviation Technical Services (ATS) by providing aircraft structural repair dispositions to aircraft undergoing heavy maintenance and out of service due to various types of damage. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develops timely structural repairs for aircraft and components based on sound engineering principles driven by OEM, FAA, airline, and best practice guidance.Works directly with mechanics on the aircraft to determine the best course of action, developing solutions that return the airplane to an airworthy condition meeting all regulatory requirements and returning the aircraft to revenue service in an expeditious manner.Works directly with aircraft manufactures, third party design centers, as well as develops repairs based on current available data.Provides substantiation for approval authorities for the engineering soundness of repairs, describing not only the “how” but the “why” of the repair construction.Creates drawings and repairs using CAD software.Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience such as a mechanic (i.e. A&P, military crew chief, etc.) or related support field required.Experience with AutoCAD preferred. PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit, stand and walk; use their hands and arms; and talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. CompensationThe full base pay range for this position is $28.00 – $42.00 per hour (expressed as hourly for non-exempt), exclusive of benefits or potential bonuses. The lower end of the range represents the target base pay for those beginning or developing in the role. The higher end of the range is intended for those who have mastered the role, with proven significant expertise, high achievement, and specialized skills. If you are hired at ATS, your hourly rate will be based on factors including skills, education and experience. In addition to those factors – we consider internal equity of our current employees when determining offers. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. We also offer a generous benefits package, as detailed below.
