WilliamsRDM is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector. This position will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring purchased, manufactured, in process, and final product quality in manufacturing areas meet requirements, using engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions and other relevant documents.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consistently follow all quality and company procedures and regulations
• Consistently communicate with other stakeholders
• Continuously pursue process or continuous improvement opportunities
• Works with assigned team to perform root cause analysis as determined by CPAR.
• Perform assigned tasks with quality and efficiency as a priority while maintaining revenue and profitability.
• Inspects products per specifications, drawings, and purchasing documentation.
• Conducts internal and external quality audits per AS9100 requirements.
• Maintains quality records such as inspection results, audits, and purchasing documentation.
• Knowledge of Quality System requirements
• Follows Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines and regulations governing workplace safety.
• Performs other duties as requested by the Quality Manager and Lead
• Perform in process inspections as needed.
• Ensure first piece builds are completed and work instruction are followed – provide feedback to Engineering based on results.
• Oversees the inspection and testing of purchased components, raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products per specifications, drawings, etc.
• Participate in and conduct Material Review Board as required.
• Perform calibration on handheld instruments, as needed.
• Maintain company calibration program.
• Check passive components such as resistors, diodes, capacitors, etc. using a digital multimeter.
• Receive, document and track customer RMAs for processing and evaluation.
• Cross trains on STFS fire and production line testing to be available as needed to conduct fire and line tests, document, and communicate results.

Education and Training:

• Two to five years of previous quality-related experience is required.
• General safety, quality awareness and ISO 9001/AS9100 training
• Electronics and/or wiring assembly experience/knowledge is required along with a working knowledge of various manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Must be able to use various types of inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges and digital height gauges.
• Must be able to perform STFS fire testing. Requires annual fit test and proper use of fitted respiratory mask.

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to communicate effectively, make presentations and write concise reports for all levels of employees.
• Operation of a computer terminal. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
• Friendly and professional demeanor.
• Calibration knowledge preferred.
• Military cable harness wiring and connector experience preferred.
