Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; and recording entries.
• Pays vendors by scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
• Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Issues stop-payments or purchase order amendments.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Job Requirements for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• High School degree required; Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience
• Deltek experience is preferred but not required
• Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
