Job purpose:
The successful candidate would plug into our current situation, work with our IT partner to ensure success for our team members, assist in maximizing our IT partner's efforts and value, and become our in-house IT hero. The position is in-office, M-F requires strong customer service skills as well as IT technical experience.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues reported by end-users.
Escalate complex problems to the appropriate IT personnel or external vendors for further investigation and resolution.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, printers, and other peripheral devices.
Perform system and software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure the security and stability of the IT infrastructure.
Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings.
Assist in the deployment and maintenance of network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
Monitor and respond to system alerts and notifications to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
Provide training and guidance to end-users on the effective use of IT systems and software.
Collaborate with IT team members to improve IT processes, procedures, and infrastructure.
Work with our IT Partner company to manage and continually improve the ticket process to ensure the best resolution for our team members.
Provide support services and support for various infrastructures, including Windows Server 2012-2022, Windows 10/11 operating systems, and LAN/WAN hardware.
Provide remote and on-site support as required.
Other IT-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Preferred: Professional IT Help Desk experience, Systems Monitoring.
Preferred certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Microsoft Certified Solutions are advantageous.
Preferred: VOIP phone system experience.
3 years’ experience working with computer technology in a business environment.
3 years’ experience with Windows Server 2012 , Hyper-V, SQL Server 2012, Active Directory, Office365, Windows 10/11 OS, LAN hardware, VPNs, IP networking, MFA.
Bachelors of Computer Science or Equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Maintains strict confidentiality (e.g., passwords and other system security features) for the purpose of ensuring network security.
Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone, good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it.
Ability to handle constantly changing flow of traffic; remain productive during slow times, be able to multi-task effectively during busy times, exercise patience and professionalism during stressful situations.
Ability to productively collaborate in a team environment.
Working knowledge of common operating systems and software applications.
Must be organized and detail oriented.
Must have strong communication skills.
